WAX strips. These strips have wax as the major part of the paint. WAX ribbons have a lower melting point and can therefore be printed at lower temperatures, which puts less strain on the print head’s print pores. This results in less waste of printhead resources.
The resistance of the ink ribbon to scratches, abrasion, chemical attack and environmental influences is low. They are mainly used for printing on matt or semi-matt monochrome stickers. WAX ribbons are the cheapest.
